How would you describe your photography style?

My approach is primarily documentary, with a small portion of the day dedicated to portraits and group photos. About 90% of my work is candid, focused on real moments as they naturally happen.

What can I expect from our first meeting?

Our meeting is a relaxed, no-pressure chat where we’ll talk through your wedding day, what you’re envisioning, and see if we’re a great fit. You don’t need to have everything figured out, just a general idea of your date, venue (if you have one), and what matters most to you. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to jot them down so we can cover everything during our call. The goal of the consultation is for me to get a general sense of the day and then prepare a personalized proposal with final pricing and description of what’s included in your coverage. You will receive the proposal on the same day of our meeting.

What add-ons are available?

Add-ons include an additional photographer, which I recommend (but don’t require) for weddings with 140+ guests, as well as a film photography package.

How many photos will I receive?

For a 8-hour wedding I typically deliver 600+ photos. If you get the film package, you can expect 100+ film photos.

How do you deliver your photos?

Your photos will be delivered on a online gallery. The gallery will be available for a minimum of one year. You’ll be able to download images in low resolution for social media, and full quality for printing.

How do you edit the photos?

After the wedding, I’ll get back to my office with thousands of images from the day. The first step is to cull the images and build a series that is meaningful, not repetitive, and that gives the sense of reliving the day when scrolling through it. I divide the gallery into chapters and create a highlight with the best ~100 pics from the day. All the photos are adjusted for lighting, color, and cropping. I also use a bit of Photoshop to remove distracting elements from the background (and believe me, NYC streets can have a LOT of distracting things ;). Generally, an 8-hour wedding includes 25–50 hours of post-production.

How long it will take to receive our gallery?

About 8 weeks during the busiest time of the year (May–November). If your wedding is during the off-season, you can expect a faster delivery!

We want to move forward! How to book you?

The process is super simple. I’ll send you an online form to gather a bit of additional information. From there, I’ll prepare and send you an agreement. Once that’s signed, a 50% deposit is required to secure your date.

When we’ll be talking about the wedding timeline, choosing locations for portrait/group shots etc?

About one month prior to the wedding, we’ll have another meeting to go through the timeline of the day and make sure everything is in place. At this stage, we’ll also talk about portrait locations, family photo locations, and any remaining logistics. There’s always an open line of communication in the months leading up to your wedding, if any questions arise, just send me an email!

I want to book you, but we are still in early stages and I’m still not sure how many hours I’ll need?

No worries! My suggestion is to book the bare minimum and add more hours at a later stage if needed. You’ll always be able to add additional hours, as well as move your coverage start time earlier or later if your schedule changes.

Do you travel for weddings, and are travel fees included?

Yes, I do! Travel fees, taxes, and other expenses will all be included in your final proposal quote.

Do you photograph engagement sessions, and are they included?

Portrait sessions are not included, but they are available at a discounted rate if you book a full-day wedding.

What is your cancellation policy?

If, for any reason, I’m unable to make it to your wedding, I will do everything I can to find a replacement photographer. (Having a strong network of colleagues—and a wife who’s an amazing commercial and portrait photographer—definitely helps!). If you need to cancel your wedding, the deposit is non-refundable. However, if you need to move your wedding to another date and I’m available, I’m happy to adjust my schedule at no extra cost!
